Orienteering is no different from anything else that you would like to do better - you need to study the subject, practice at events and review your course afterwards. Compare yours with others on Route Gadget and check your split times with others on the results page. Questions you should be asking yourself are; ‘why did I take that route?’; ‘why was ‘John Smith’ much faster than me on that leg’ or ‘what route did he take compared to mine?’
