LOCATION: Chelwood Vachery is part of Ashdown Forest located south of East Grinstead. DFOK is grateful to the Conservators of Ashdown Forest for permission to hold this event.

PARKING: There will be two parking locations, The Llama Park, RH18 5JN and at the back of The Roebuck Inn, Wych Cross, Forest Row, East Sussex RH18 5JL, TQ420319. The event will be signed to the Roebuck Inn parking area from the crossroads at Wych Cross. There is a 0.7km walk from The Roebuck Inn to the Event Centre. There is limited parking at the Event Centre with spaces are available for vehicles conveying a child under age 16, for all vehicles with a M/W75+ and for any vehicle with at least 3 occupants. No parking fee at either car park.

EVENT CENTRE: The Llama Park http://www.llamapark.co.uk/ RH18 5JN, TQ424314. Registration will be in one of the buildings at The Llama Park. Toilets will be available. The coffee shop will be open from 10:00 serving hot and cold drinks. Lunches are available in the restaurant from 12:00. Young children can be entertained in The Llama Park. Entry to The Llama Park would normally be £8 for adults, £7 for children (age 2 -16) and seniors, Free under age 2; all orienteers can access The Llama Park on the day of the event for £5 by generous offer from The Llama Park. A Father Christmas Grotto is also available pre-Christmas (see Llama Park website for details). First Aid cover provided by Elite Medical & Ambulance Service.

ENTRIES & FEES: Entries on line at www.fabian4.co.uk (preferred) or with cheque to the Entries Secretary, Keith Parkes, at 2 Brookside, Orpington, Kent BR6 0AW.  Standard: Seniors £12, students/juniors £5, families £29 until 6 January 2019 Late: Seniors add £2, students/juniors add £1, families add £5;available until 11 January 2019 Entry on the day. Seniors add £4, students/juniors add £1 to standard fees Seniors on Yellow and Orange £7 at all entry dates.  Late entry and EOD are subject to map availability Additional £2 on all fees for seniors who are not members of British Orienteering.

DARTFORD ORIENTEERING KLUBB
invite you to a SOUTH EAST LEAGUE and NATIONAL RANKING LEVEL B EVENT  at

REGISTRATION: Opens at 09:30, starts 10:00 to 12:00, courses close 14.00
 
DOGS: On a lead only please.
 
START AND FINISH: The start for all courses is 1.4km from the Event Centre. All courses finish 0.7km from the Event Centre. SI punching will be used but not activated for contactless punching.

TERRAIN and MAP: Mixed forest and open moorland with heather & dead bracken. Some mainly runnable forest, some marshy areas, good path/ride network. The map is 1:10,000 surveyed Autumn 2014 by Andrew Pitcher with further updating by Andrew in Autumn 2018.
 
COURSES: Black, Brown, Short Brown, Blue, Short Blue, Green, Short Green, Very Short Green, Light Green, Orange, Yellow and White. We are also hoping to provide a tag course for young orienteers.

If you are a newcomer the yellow and orange courses are suitable. Please speak to someone at registration and someone will give you some basic instruction.
