Klubb Activity Evenings
Activity Evening. Weds 30th May 2018 Start 7.15 - 7.30
For this Activity Evening a Sporteering Course has been set up specially for you in Foots Cray Meadows. Whilst it has been set up as a Course, restrict your time to 45mins as in a Score Course. This will give you the opportunity to test out these new courses on a collective basis. Download the app; register yourself if not done so already; look up list of courses and find the "Foots Cray Meadows Challenge". The START/FINISH is at the main gate entrance in Leafield Lane, off North Cray Rd (A223 dual carriageway). You prove visit to each site by using the GPS recognition NOT the QR Code system. When completed upload your data and then see results later. The White Cross Pub is just a little bit further on for refreshments.
Greater London Orienteering Summer Series 2018 (GLOSS)
Another exciting schedule of 5 Summer events in late June/July has been put together for the coveted prize of the London Bus trophy. This is a team event with the top 6 individual runners counting towards the club's total score. It is a handicap event based on your British Orienteering ranking points (or otherwise for those who do not have ranking points). This means that anyone can do well. In 2017, a DFOK club member won all but one of the 5 events after the handicap had been applied. The GLOSS 2018 flyer is here and there’s a GLOSS home page. See you there!
