DFOK is affiliated to British Orienteering and to the South East Orienteering Association (SEOA). When joining DFOK you will also become a member of British Orienteering and SEOA.
Membership of DFOK gives you access to Klubb coaching by qualified coaches and training events, plus discounted entry to Klubb events. If you do not have your own dibber then dibber hire is free for DFOK members at DFOK events. You will also receive a monthly e-mail update on Klubb matters and have access to the quarterly on-line DFOK magazine The Niche.
Through membership of British Orienteering, you will get discounted entry to most orienteering events in the UK. You will be eligible to compete in the British Championships and the annual JK Festival of British Orienteering – and the opportunity to qualify to represent your country at orienteering! You will also get access to the National Rankings Scheme, the Navigational Challenge and Racing Challenge incentive schemes. 2017 fees for membership of DFOK with British Orienteering are:
Seniors £15.00 (includes £10.00 British Orienteering membership fee and £3.00 SEOA membership fee)
Juniors £4.30 (includes £3.30 British Orienteering membership fee and £1.00 SEOA membership fee)
British Orienteering no longer offer a family membership – if you wish to join British Orienteering as a family, you will be charged the DFOK family membership fee plus British Orienteering fees according to the number of seniors and juniors in the family. For example, a family of two adults and one child would pay £33.30: this consists of the DFOK family membership fee of £3.00, two British Orienteering senior memberships at £10.00 each, two SEOA senior memberships at £3.00 each, one junior British Orienteering membership at £3.30 plus one junior SEOA membership at £1.00.
Membership is annual and lasts from 1 January to 31 December.
