Bostall Heath Activity Evening
Wednesday 24 August is the next and last in our series of Summer activity evenings, designed to put into practice several of the skills that have been covered in previous Summer activity evenings. The activity has been designed to be suitable for all ages and abilities.
The activity will involve navigating a course of about 2km with 13 controls reasonably close together. So far so good! But the map will be incomplete. There will be a corridor showing the features on the map between each control and the next one, but not the whole map. This will require careful navigation, picking up features that are on the map as you go and selecting an attack point. You'll need a compass to check the direction you are travelling in. For some of the controls, counting your paces may be helpful too. After navigating the course there will be an opportunity to discuss your approach to the activity afterwards with another club member. There will be folded and sealed complete maps available for everyone to take with them ... to be used if deemed necessary!
